FAQ
Can I display Hinduism artwork, if I am not Hindu or Indian?
Absolutely! In Hindu tradition, it’s generally acceptable to hang wall art depicting gods and goddesses, but there are a few cultural and spiritual considerations that many people follow:
Respectful Placement - Avoid putting the artwork in places considered impure, like bathrooms, near shoe racks, or directly facing toilets. Many prefer placing such images in living rooms, puja rooms, or study areas.
Position and Height - Ideally, the artwork should be hung higher than eye level, as a gesture of reverence. Some avoid placing it low or where feet might be pointed toward it.
Intent Matters - In Hindu thought, bhav (the intention behind the act) is important.
If the purpose is decorative but also respectful, honoring the deity, it’s usually fine.
